I had looked at the Torn Edge Trimmer plenty of times, but I already had multiple torn edged shaped sets so was it really necessary, I didn't think so. Then Tonic Studios had it on offer so decided to give it a go, and I was really pleased I did, for small cuts you can easily have a different torn edge on all sides, and the edges of the blades aren't as deep as some of my shaped sets meaning it's better for the smaller squares, rectangles and easier to use around small sentiments dies/stamps, it gives a nice clean cut whatever the thickness of your card and I can see it will be very useful for years to come, and I'm extremely pleased I decided in the end to purchase it. It's a great little cutter and since it's black and my other straight trimmer by Tim Holtz is grey no problem knowing which one I need off of my shelf.

Absolutely delighted with this, Christmas present from my husband. It’s perfect for cutting tangle tiles & gives a clean edge that has the classic deckle edge. Perfect size for all kinds of projects & the grid is invaluable for positioning.
I have deckle edge dies that are never the right size for my projects, so I don't use them. This trimmer is ideal for those torn edges and I can now cut whichever size I want. I have already used it loads of times. It's obviously well made and worth evey penny.

I ordered this deckle guillotine for my husband as a Christmas gift from him to me so I've not yet used it. I have the Tonic/Tim Holtz normal blade guillotine and adore it, so I have no doubt that I'll love the deckle one also.
It felt flimsy at first, but it does the job it is intended too, very well. So stronger than it initially looked
Its dinky. Its light. Love the way it cuts a crinkly edge very precisely.

As I expected, a great quality product from Tonic/Tim Holtz. I have the 6" guillotine already which I use all the time. I like a deckle/torn edge, sometimes on my layers, more often on my inserts. I do have a rotary cutter I used for this, but that requires a lot of pressure to get a good clean cut, and I've caused myself shoulder issues before now, so when I saw Tim demo this, I knew it was going straight on my 'must have 'list. The cutting action is smooth & easy, clean cuts every time. Best part about these tools is no blade replacement, as they self sharpen. Highly recommended, 10/10.
Good trimmer like the deckle edge
This is so useful, it stays on a shelf next to my craft desk. Since getting it I have used it far more than I thought I would. Unlike Deckle scissors it gives a much more varied and continuous look. Great for sentiments, toppers and layering. Cuts beautifully as expected from Tim Holtz/Tonic collaboration.

That is a perfect cutter for photos and all of my crafting ideas. I all ready mail the card I made no photo of it sorry.
A good crafting idea. Easy way of creating an edge to a photo or topper in one slice each side. Delicate pattern you couldn't achieve with a pair of scissors.
