Post-flood Warehouse and Shipping Update

Current Status

(January 22nd 2026)

Open Order Shipping

The team are currently shipping orders from January 16th.
(If your order is from prior to January 16th and has not yet despatched, it is either because it requires international shipping which gets processed manually and is happening alongside regular shipping, or an item needs to be refunded from your order.)

Orders are Leaving the Building

(January 16th 2026)

Open Order Shipping

The team are now back up to regular speed with order picking and despatch. As of today, they are packing orders from January 1st.

Moving Forward

  • Weekly Promotions: Wednesdies will start tomorrow, January 14th. Simon is putting together a special deal for the rest of January also.
  • January Launches: our next Showcase launch has been postponed to Thursday 22nd January, due to shipping delays.

Happy New Year all!

(January 7th 2026)

Now that we have been back in the office a few days we wanted to give you an update on how things are progressing here, and our current shipping status.

Kit Subscription

  • Tonic Craft Kit 99 (Have A Heart): all recurring subscription orders that processed on January 1st as normal have been despatched. There are a few orders that processed later (January 2nd onwards) due to payment issues, and these will now be despatched in sequence with the other outstanding orders.
  • Remaining Kits: we have extremely limited stock of this kit available now that subscription orders have been processed, as we did lose a significant amount of the product reserved for this kit in the flood. The kit is now available to purchase as a one-off, or add as a new subscription on the website.
  • Have A Heart Patterned Cardstock: the patterned cardstock that was intended to be in this kit is available in the kit subscriber portal for purchase, to ship with your next subscription. If we have any remaining once this kit sales period is over, it will be added to the website for general sale.

Open Order Shipping

Orders from December that we were not able to ship before the holiday closure are now being worked through. To provide some context to the delays, we wanted to share some additional information with you.
  • This flood was the most significant water ingress we have ever seen at our premises. We already raise our goods off the warehouse floor by a significant amount to minimise losses and damage due to flood water, but on this occasion, the flood rose, and the water level did not recede for over 12 hours. The level of water inside the building was also considerably higher than it has ever reached.
  • A number of the containers that we use to hold stock to be picked, actually floated around the building while the water level was high, making it far more complex to track down items in the resulting clean up operations.
  • Any products on the shelves that had been in the water have had to be fully adjusted out of stock. All these items need to then be individually assessed before we can return any that are untouched by the water to our stock system.
  • Our warehouse team is small: just 4 staff - our amazing Warehouse Manager Lauren, assisted by Beef, Rhys and Ben. A lot of the team from across the rest of the office jumped in to help out in the immediate clean up and in other tasks such as packing the kit.
  • A full stock count has had to be completed since we returned on January 2nd, even for items that were untouched by the flood itself. Because so many containers and stock locations have moved - either during the flood, or in the aftermath, we have had to manually recount every item we currently hold and ensure they are correctly located in their expected stock locations.
  • Where orders contain items have been lost in the flood, we have to manually adjust each order to remove the item. This process is time-consuming, and has definitely impacted the speed at which the team can pick orders.
  • We have a professional cleaning crew currently working through the warehouse to clean and sanitise the entire area. However, this is also not without its challenges! The warehouse team are having to move all items from area to area to allow the cleaning crew access, all while still trying to pick orders (from stock locations that have moved entirely).
We realise waiting for your orders is never fun, and you just want your crafty goodies as quickly as possible so you can get creating! We are doing everything we can, as quickly as we possibly can, to get our warehouse back up to full operation. The team are working through the open orders in sequence and if we are unable to fulfill any of your order, you will be notified and provided a full refund for the items.

Moving Forward

  • Weekly Promotions: we decided this week not to start a new Wednesday or Sunday promotion, to give the warehouse team additional time to work through the open orders without adding a significant number of new orders.
  • January Launches: our next Showcase launch is currently scheduled to go ahead next Thursday 15th January, but this will need to be reviewed nearer the time.
  • Kit 100: we have confirmed that we have all the necessary products to be able to deliver this kit as usual, and this will launch on January 20th.

Holiday Closing & Warehouse Update

(December 19th 2025)

Holiday Hours

The Tonic Studios UK office and warehouse will be closed for the Christmas period starting December 23rd, reopening on January 2nd, 2026.

Our final postal pickup for the year is December 19th. Any orders placed after this date will be processed when we return in the New Year.

Important Update (Dec 19th, 4:30 PM GMT)

Current Orders & Warehouse Flood Impact: Following this week’s flood at our UK warehouse, our team has focused on fulfilling orders where stock was safely accessible. We are pleased to confirm that all orders able to be dispatched in full have now been sent.

Remaining Open Orders: If your order has not yet shipped, it is because the required stock is currently inaccessible due to the cleanup process or may have been damaged. Upon our return in January, we will finalize these orders by either shipping the remaining items or issuing refunds for unavailable stock.

Kit Subscription & Vault Sale Shipping Dates

Tonic Craft Kit 99 (Have A Heart): Will be dispatched to current renewing subscribers on Friday, January 2nd, 2026. Remaining kits will be available for one-off purchase or new subscriptions starting January 5th.

Vault Sale Orders: Orders placed during our Vault sales (December 26th – January 4th) will be processed once all earlier outstanding orders are cleared. Shipping for these is expected to begin the week of January 5th, and we will provide further updates as we progress.
