Birthday card with a red poppy

I've chosen a different format this morning for my birthday card. After seeing Alison's lovely poppy card earlier in the week, I felt a craving for a cheery red poppy. (What? Does nobody else get weird cravings like that?)

This is my own version of a poppy. Of course with the Punch and stamp sets, you can make up your flower however the mood takes you. The poppy petals were made with the Rose Punch...

Happy Birthday...Decorative Wreath Card

Just wanted to share a quick card I made a while back for a Special Dad. I`ve used the Tonic Christmas Wreath die set and the Tonic Delicate lattice border punch. The topper is from Hunky Dory. I have to admit I don`t use a huge amount of ready made toppers, but this was perfect for the occasion. I`ve added a bit of ribbon and a few gems and hey presto one card finished.

Shake it up !

I've made a quick little shaker card using the love arch die and punch. I have backed the window with a heart patterned vellum - this means that when the card is open, it gives a pretty translucent effect.

It's always fun to include a bit of confetti inside your envelope too so that when your card is opened the recipient get's a little paper shower (or they get really annoyed with you for littering...

An electrifying birthday card !

It was my neighbours birthday yesterday and his wife asked me to make a card for him. Mike loves a good giggle so this is what I came up with.

I used the Tonic Square Indulgence die for the background. The cheeky image if a decoupage sheet by Mary Rahder. If you`re not familiar with her she`s done some fabulous tongue in cheek images.
The punched border is made using the Tonic Celtic Knot punch....

Dinner party decor

The new butterflies and blooms dies are so useful. I find myself popping those fabulous filigree butterflies all over the place.  Here I have placed one of the butterflies on a pretty cracker made with Tonic's cracker die (and Tonic's butterflies beautiful paper of course).

Wouldn't these look so pretty at a dinner party - one for each guest - filled with after dinner mints. I have a feeling that...

Pretty in Blue

How are you enjoying the Tonic Pick of the Week so far? Craig has settled into the demos and being in front of the camera like an old hand.

Here`s my card to share with you today

I`ve used the Purple Empress set of dies. The flowered paper is from Lili of the Valley. The sentiment is stamped and embossed in silver. I`ve had it for many years, but can`t remember who made it. I just love the font, it...

A delight in black and white

Another Black & White card I`m afraid. I`ve used the loopy lace punch as a border

The wine glass & bottle stamp is from my stash I think it`s from Inkadinkadoo. The corner stamp is a Clarity stamp and the sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.

This card is suitable for a man or woman, always a good idea in your card box.

Catch up soon
