Fairy Lily and Some Helpful Tips! - Edna

Good morning and welcome to the blog today.
I have a couple more sample cards to share today using the fabulous Lily fairy from the recent Tonic Studios launch.

Tonic - Fairy die - Lily
Elegant oval layering dies
Sentiment - LOTV

I die cut the moon through both the black and white layers of card stock and then inset some silver mirri into the aperture. I die cut the moon again in white and added it to the aperture giving a slightly raised effect.

A sideways view to show the dimension.

My second card used Lily once again but this time with a lot more added detail.

Expressions and Inspirations sentiments
Hearts from the Stamp and Die Set - Floral heart
Nuvo Diamond Glitter

This card is 8 x 8" and I've die cut two rows of the floral hearts into the card stock. I then backed the card with the pale blue card stock so that it would show through.
I used the remainder of the blue for the front panel, embossing two fine lines 1/8" apart down each side for added interest.
The words and the fairy are completely covered with Nuvo Sheen diamond glitter and I've used little heart embellishments in blue to finish the card.

*To help position the hearts evenly without having to do tricky measurements I adhered the blue panel with removable adhesive and that left me with the two outer panels. I then took a strip of card stock the same length as my card and the same width as the outer panel and folded it in half and then half again. This gave me four evenly spaced sections and it was a simple job to line it up with my card and place the hearts in the right position. I did remove the centre panel before I die cut. :)

** It does make the job easier if you make your own 8 x 8" cards. The front panel measured 8" x 9" to allow for a fold over and that goes through your A4 machine with no difficulty.

Thank you for joining me today.
Have a great day!
