Good morning and welcome to the blog today.
I have a couple of cards to share that I made for the Tonic Weekender launch using the new Card Creator dies.

There have been several queries about the card weight used for the cutting of these blanks on the various forums. I have used 255gsm folded in half to cut mine, also Centura Pearl which has a higher gsm.
Because these dies are a basic shape they are capable of cutting through two layers, the only thing that is variable is the machine you are using. I have used the Tangerine from Tonic and found no bother getting a clean, clear cut.
I haven't tried this on any other machine so it's best if you experiment with yours and make sure it can take it without too much strain, otherwise cut the layers separately and score a fold down flap and secure them together with glue or high tack tape.
Jodie was using 240 gsm doubled through the Big Blue for her demos so that will give you a better idea.

My first card is a stepper cut using the Bowscale layering dies for the base, step, layers and frames.
The basic card is 14.8cm square. The step measures 14.5 x 14.8 scored on the shorter edge at 6 cm,  12cm and leaving a fold back flap of 2.5cms. Attach the flap to the main card, fold along the 6cm score line and you have your stepper ready to decorate.
